Introduction to ikebana and arranging in low containers
In this class we cover an introduction to ikebana including the origin of the art form and how it differs from tradtional western style floristry as well as a few other topics including materials and equipment. There will be a demonstration of a basic upright moribana style arrangement and an opportunity for students to have a try at making an arrangement of their own in the upright moribana style. For this class all materials and equipment are provided as are some class notes for students to take away with them. At the end of the class students will be advised as to what they will need to bring for the following class.
Refreshments - Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided. If you have special dietary requirements please advise ahead of time.
